I just cant speak highly enough of this beautiful hotel and the most amazing friendly staff.this is one of the very few places in the world I will go back to time and time again.a special thank you to Kriss Harms who ran the bar and to Muhammet Guven who provided such excellent customer service to the guests

My new husband and I recently returned from Kalkan having had our honeymoon at The Likya Spa and Residence and we cannot speak highly enough of the hotel, the rooms, the bar, the staff, the food, the restraunt, the views, the beach club, the other guests and the locals including the furry ones!!! We could not have thanked the staff for making our time as newly weds the best time of our life. Krissi, Mohammet, Miten, Embru, Jakob, Mustafa, Sami etc were brilliant and we never wanted for anything.

Visited the terrace restaurant for a couple of special occasion meals during September and October 2015. On both visits the food, service and facilities were first class. The service and presentation of the dishes we had was absolutly superb. We dined on the terrace on both occasions which offers fantastic panoramic views accross the bay, harbour and hillsides of Kalkan.

Stayed for a week in the middle of October when hotel was only two thirds full. staff are wonderful and felt like old friends by the end of our stay. Food excellent and plenty of choice at breakfast time - can't see why some guests criticised this but perhaps they are used to massive hotels with buffets to match.Location is superb - quite quiet but we wanted a rest and our easy routine of beach club for sea swimming in the morning followed by stiff climb back to the spotless pool in the afternoon suited us very well. Pool sunbeds are the comfiest I have ever laid out on. Walk [ downhill] to the town makes evening stroll before dinner interesting and cheap taxi back avoids indigestion later. As we were so late in the season, the "Taster" evening didn't happen and the week after we left, the Turkish evening was off as well so points to bear in mindWill certainly go back!

Stayed for a week in early October in room 206. Super room, 3 windows overlooking the bay, great views. Staff at breakfast, in the bar and restaurant are very polite, friendly and helpful. Breakfast has a very wide choice and the freshly cooked to order eggs and pancakes are lovely. The Turkish evening was great fun.The main pool is very long for a hotel pool and while the beach club is 10 minutes walk down a steep hill the facility is free and friendly and the food there is very nice - the view is lovely.Yes most guests are English, of a certain age and come back often but they come back because the hotel is so good.

Stayed here for a week recently and this is a very tranquil calming hotel with a smashing spa plus great views. Staff were efficient staff led by the extremely polite Mohammed.A little tired around the edges in places it is a Turkish 5 star rather than a general one. Most of the people staying at the hotel were English of a certain age and a little twee. Many people seemed to be returning for their Nth visit (perhaps need to get out more) making it feel like a 'little England on sea'. I enjoyed the stay although my wife more so than me as it was VERY quiet and lacking in atmosphere/vibe .

What can I say that I haven't said before over the last six visits. Muhammet and Sevvy run a tight ship and always trying to improve, housekeeping also should be praised ...they do a great job, but they can only do great things with the food and running of the hotel ...please Mr. Big Boss spend some money on refurbishing, with all the new modern hotels around the Lykia is lagging way behind that is the general opinion by most guests. There is a good atmosphere here which is certainly to do with the fact that we see so many of the same returning guests and each year and we get to know each other better each time which could be a bit annoying for guests here for the first time, but who could object to a lot of laughter ?! Thanks to the whole team once again and see you next year !

The room was big, very spacious as was the bathroom, with a lovely balcony over looking the pool and sea. Immaculate and clean. Pool was clean, not at all busy and with enough privacy or little areas to go you didn't feel like you were on top of others out there. There's also an infinity pool on the first floor. Little grooe that there was a youngish couple who'd put their towels out on the loungers then not come out til very late in the day.

We stayed at Likya Residence in September - two couples in Rooms 103 and 104 which were booked through Discerning Collections - and we spent one week Saturday to Saturday.I mention Saturday because that is the night when you can enjoy the Tasting Menu at the restaurant - well you can if you book the Tasting Menu before 3.00pm on the Saturday - fortunately we discovered this at about 2.45pm ... and how glad we were .... the food was outstanding, the presentation of each dish was exciting and interesting, and the service was impeccable. We especially enjoyed the dessert including the White Chocolate Mousse but will leave that surprise for you to enjoy.

We have been visiting Kalkan off and on for 20 years but never stayed at the Residence, and we found all aspects exceeded our expectations. We had room 207 which I understand is a standard room, the views were magnificent, as it is a corner room they extended around the bay.the room was well equipped, bed large and very comfortable, any notion that this was had was not our experience. The bathroom well equipped and spotless.
